Things you need to know about starting your journey with RealNZ.

How do I apply?

All vacant positions we are currently recruiting for can be found on our careers page. Find the role that excites you and click “Apply.” You'll need to create an account or log in if you're already registered. Make sure you have your key documents like your CV ready.

Here’s what you need for your application:

  • Fill out the online form: All the compulsory info, please!
  • Dazzle us with a cover letter: This is your moment to shine. Capture our attention!
  • Attach a job-specific CV: Detail your work history and include any relevant information.

What happens after I submit my application?

  • You’ll receive an email confirmation to let you know we got your application.
  • Once the advert closes, we’ll review all applications and contact you about your status. Successful candidates will be invited to schedule an interview.
  • Employment agreements and other necessary documents will be sent out before your start date for you to review.

If I am successful with my application, what next?

  • If offered a position, we’ll need your answer within a week.
  • We’ll ask for more details like visa information, proof of qualifications and experience, accommodation needs, etc. You may be asked to undergo pre-employment checks such as drug testing, Ministry of Justice checks and more.

Applicants on visas:

  • You must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand. Proof of eligibility or a valid work visa is required.
  • We assist with visa applications for specialised roles, such as maritime engineers or white-water rafting guides.
  • To check your eligibility for a working holiday visa, visit Immigration New Zealand.
